The three cities

One day, my friend suggested playing a game which called" Around the World in Ten Minutes". I and my friends had to tell some information about a city. During the game, we talk about Paris, Beijing and Stockholm. At the end of the game, we organized our information about these three cities. Although there are many similarities between Paris, Beijing and Stockholm, there are also some very important differences in location, number of population, size, temperature and weather.
Paris, Beijing and Stockholm are alike in several ways. To begin with, each city is the capital of its country. To illustrate, Paris is the capital of France while Beijing is the capital of the People's Republic of China. In contrast Stockholm is the capital of Sweden. In addition, they are similar in their history. For illustrate, the three cities are very old cities. Paris was founded by the Romans and was called Lutetia; it was renamed Paris in the 15th century at the end of the Roman Empire. Beijing was founded over 2,000 years ago. Stockholm dates from the 13th century; it became the capital of Sweden in the 16th century. Thirdly, both Paris and Stockholm has wonderful places. Stockholm has lots of museums, open spaces and palaces. Paris also has lots of interesting places such as Notre Dame Cathedras, the Louvre museum and lots of nice outdoor cafés.
However, while they do have some similarities, they have many more differences in location, number of population, size, temperature and weather. The initial obvious difference is placed in the location of the three cities. Paris is located on the River Seine, in the northern of France while Stockholm is located by the Lake Malaren on the east coast of Sweden. Unlike Paris and Stockholm, Beijing is located in the north of china.
In addition to their location, they differ in the number of population. For instance, Paris has 9.93 million inhabitants in their urban area while Beijing has 8.5 million inhabitants. Unlike Paris and Beijing, Stockholm has 1.2 million inhabitants.
The third difference is placed in the size of them. Unlike Paris which occupies 12.200 square kilometers, Beijing has an area of 1.377 square kilometers. Different from Paris and Beijing, Stockholm occupies 375.25 square kilometers.
Furthermore, the fourth difference lies in their temperature. In Paris, the lowest average temperature is -2`C in January and the highest one is 24`C in July and August. In contrast.  the average lowest average temperature in Beijing  is -7`C in January while the highest one is 26`C in July. On the contrary, the lowest average temperature in Stockholm is -7`C in winter while the highest one is 25`C in July.
Last but not least, The final difference is in their weather. Paris has a mild weather while Beijing has a humid continental climate influenced by the monsoon. Unlike Paris, the winters in Stockholm are quite cold while summers are much warmer. Moreover, Paris can rain at any time in the year: its average yearly perception is 641.6 mm. In contrast, summer in Beijing is the rainy season and the annual precipitation is over 600mm. On the other hand, the annual precipitation of Stockholm is 539mm.
All in all, Paris, Beijing and Stockholm have lots of similarities. However, they are different in many points such as location, number of population, size, temperature and weather. If you want to spend your summer holiday in a city, Which city you will visit, Paris, Beijing or Stockholm?
